Privacy policy
This policy explains what scoluo.com collects when you visit or get in touch, what it is used for and what you can ask for. The site is run by SCOLUO LLC, Scott Luong's company, in Los Angeles, California.
What the site collects
The site collects only what it needs to answer you and to keep running.
- What you send. The contact form asks for your name, your email and a message, and lets you add your agency or brand, your dates and a budget range. An email to booking@scoluo.com holds whatever you write in it.
- Visit data. Like every website, the servers that send you the pages see your IP address, your browser and device, the page you asked for and the page that sent you there. A small Cloudflare Web Analytics script also reports how each page loaded: its address, the page that sent you, your browser and system versions and the load times.
- One setting in your browser. If you press Pause motion, your browser remembers that choice. The cookie policy has the details.
What it is used for
Your details are used to answer your request, to quote and plan a job, and to keep a record of the work. Visit data is used to keep the site working and secure, and to count which pages are read and how fast they load.
Your details are never sold, never shared for advertising and never used to build a profile of you. The site shows no ads.
Who else handles it
A few services do part of the work, and each sees only what its job needs. Nothing goes to anyone else unless the law requires it.
- Formspree receives what you send through the contact form and passes it on by email. Formspree's privacy policy explains how it keeps submissions.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, protects it from attacks and counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare says Web Analytics uses no cookies and does not track you over time. If a page fails to load, your browser may also tell Cloudflare, so it can find network faults. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers the rest.
- Google runs the email account booking@scoluo.com, so it holds the messages the form and your emails deliver. Google's privacy policy applies to that account.
Links to other sites
The site links to Instagram, and these pages link to the policies of the services above. Nothing from those sites loads until you click, and once you are there, their own policies apply.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept as business records for as long as they are useful for the work, the accounts and the taxes. Ask, and your messages will be deleted unless the law says they must be kept. Cloudflare and Formspree keep their own records under their own policies. These services are based in the United States, so your details may be handled there and wherever they run.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your details
Email booking@scoluo.com to ask what you sent, to correct it or to have it deleted. The answer comes from that address. You may be asked to write from the address you used, so the request is known to be yours.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The site does not track you across other sites and does not sell or share your details, so every visit is handled the same way whether or not your browser sends one.
No ad network, social media pixel or other tracker runs on this site, so no other company collects your activity here to follow you over time or across other sites.
Visitors in the EU and UK
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, SCOLUO LLC is responsible for your details. They are used to answer your enquiry and keep a record of it, which is in the legitimate interest of running the business, or because you asked for a quote before a contract. Visit counts are kept in the legitimate interest of running the site.
You can ask for a copy of your details, have them corrected or deleted, limit or object to their use, including the visit counts, and complain to your local data protection authority. Your details are handled in the United States.
Children
The site is for businesses looking for a film crew. It is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their details. If a child has sent details, email booking@scoluo.com and they will be deleted.
Security
Every page and the contact form travel over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly safe, so please do not send passwords, payment details or anything else sensitive through the form.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with the new date at the top, so the date always tells you when it last changed.
