Food and hospitality video, Los Angeles

Smoke, steam and service. The night out, before you’ve booked it.

I’ve always loved shooting food. The details, the smells, the shine, the way the light hits, the heat of the grill and the hominess of the kitchen. Food has always had a special place in my heart, and shooting it is no exception.

CARNE, Kalbi Social Club and Robata Wasa, Rokusho, Durango Cocina, Yamashiro and the grand opening of Bristol Farms Selma, all with Rebellion Agency, all shot and cut by Scott Luong, director of photography and editor, in Los Angeles. Restaurants get shot the way they’re eaten: in the room, at service, close enough to feel the heat off the grill, and cut so the craving travels. A market gets the same treatment on its first day, one item at a time, in the aisle it sits in.
